Youth deer hunt to begin Nov. 19
Deer hunters are reminded that there will be a youth deer-gun season Nov. 19 and 20. More than 15,000 young hunters are expected to participate in the hunt, which is open statewide on both private and public land.
All young hunters (age 17 and younger) must wear hunter orange, possess a valid Ohio hunting license and deer permit, and be accompanied by a non-hunting adult. Visit wildohio.gov or call 1-800-WILDLIFE for details.
Remember that Ohio deer hunters who do well this fall can donate extra venison to food pantries via several programs. Check the Division of Wildlife’s website at wildohio.gov for a list of donation programs.
